Madu Waldorf was founded in 2016.  We are located on the outskirts of Ubud, Bali’s cultural and artistic centre. Ubud has become a hub for healing, spirituality, yoga, and the arts. It is home to the annual International Ubud Writer’s Festival and Ubud Food Festival. Ubud literally means “medicine”. Our Balinese and Indonesian teachers are trained in Waldorf pedagogy so that they may bring their own unique Balinese flavour to our school. Our mission is to bring Balinese culture and Anthroposophy (the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner) together.
