Keliki Painting School - Art therapy

15 minutes from Ubud, capital of the Arts of Bali, is the small village of Keliki which generates and concentrates the painters of the " Keliki Style ", painting of ancient and village tradition. The so-called "Ubud" schools in Bali and the Yogjakarta school in Java are the two major centers of traditional painting in Indonesia. Bali has many small communities of painters which flourished as early as the 1920s in Ubud, Penestanan, Pengosekan, Sayan, Lod Tunduh, Batuan and Keliki.
